Pellin & Oake exhibit at six shows a year, on stands from 18 m² to 54 m². They were paying for a new stand each time and throwing most of it away. They wanted one kit that could shrink and grow, with a tasting bar that works in any hall.
We designed a kit of 42 frames and panels, two counters and a tasting bar, all on one grid. The largest layout uses every part; the smallest uses fourteen of them and a single counter.
The tasting bar has a stainless-steel sink fed from a hidden water tank, so it works whether or not the hall offers a water connection. Waste goes to a second tank that the crew empties each evening.
Along the back wall, a slatted ash shelf holds 240 sample jars, each lit from above. Visitors take a jar down, smell it, and put it back, which turned out to be the most photographed thing on the stand.
Between shows the kit lives in four of our racked bays. For each hall we redraw the layout and reprint only the fabric skins whose message has changed.

Our kit has now done five shows in four halls. Each time it came back with a different shape, new graphics and the same counters. Our budget line for stands went down, and nobody on the floor noticed.
