A joinery shop that learned to draw
Slatebank started in 2014 as four joiners building stands for other design agencies. We kept getting drawings that couldn’t be built on time or taken apart afterwards, so we hired a designer, then another. Twelve years on, we’re thirty people: designers, visualisers, project managers, makers, printers and a site crew who have built in halls, stations, harbours and car parks.
We’ve stayed independent and we’ve stayed in one building. The people who draw your stand sit upstairs from the people who build it.

Before we price new materials, we look at what’s already in storage, yours or ours.

Our proposals list what we need from you and when. If a date slips on either side, we say so the same day.

A maker from the workshop sits in every design review.
