Questions exhibitors ask us
The short answers. Every show has its own rules, so your project manager will check the details against your organiser’s manual.
Q-12
01
For a custom stand, 16 weeks before opening is comfortable and 10 is workable. A reconfigured modular kit needs 3–4 weeks. Earlier gets you a better stand for the same money, because there’s time to change your mind.
02
It depends on size, open sides, how much is built from scratch and what’s already in storage. As a rough guide, a 54 m² (about 580 sq ft) corner stand usually sits in our 60–150k band for a first build, and less on the next outing if it’s built for reuse. Tell us your band in the brief and we’ll design to it.
03
Usually the space rental, the organiser’s electrics and connection fees, hall rigging points, and catering. We’ll list what the organiser charges separately so there are no surprises in show week.
04
Yes. Road transport from our workshop is part of every quote. For overseas shows we pack to shipping standard and work with a freight forwarder; we’ll tell you the latest date the stand can leave our floor.
05
Yes. We keep client kits in numbered racked bays, check them after every show, and send a condition report. Storage is priced per bay per month.
06
Every venue sets its own height limits, fire ratings, build-up hours and electrical rules, and most require drawings to be approved in advance. We read the organiser’s manual, submit the drawings and order the power. You’ll just need to confirm what’s plugged in on your stand, so we can size the supply.
07
Where the venue allows it, yes. Suspended banners and lighting rigs need the venue’s own riggers and a rigging plan approved weeks in advance. We draw the plan and book the points; the venue quotes the rigging separately.
08
Use the templates we send, at full size, with the bleed marked. Vector logos, images at print resolution, and fonts outlined. Your project manager will set a graphics deadline, usually four weeks before the show, and our print manager will check every file before it prints.
09
Our contract sets out what’s payable at each stage, so you’ll know in advance. If a show moves, we hold the stand in storage and rebuild it for the new date. If it’s cancelled, you pay for the work done and the materials bought, and anything built stays yours.
10
Yes. Every stand has a show-day technician on call for the open days, to fix a loose panel, a dead light or a screen that won’t wake up.
11
Yes, up to a point. Before we start cutting, most changes are a drawing update. After that, we’ll tell you the cost and the effect on dates before we do anything.
12
Yes. If we can drive to it or ship to it, we can build it. For long-distance shows we send our own crew chief and, where it makes sense, hire local labour under their supervision.
